Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Posto platform (“Service”), operated by Jon Simon (“Posto”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Posto provides restaurant reservation management software including a guest-facing booking widget, operator dashboard, email notifications, and related tools. Features vary by subscription plan.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • You must be authorised to represent the restaurant or venue you register.
  • Accounts are for one restaurant group. Multi-site operators may add additional locations via the platform.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Subscription fees are charged monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.
  • A 14-day free Pro trial is available on new accounts. No credit card required during trial.
  • Prices are listed at getposto.com/pricing. We will give 30 days’ notice of any price increases.
  • UK VAT is applied where required.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time via your billing dashboard.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Process bookings for businesses that are not genuine hospitality operators
  • Collect personal data for purposes other than reservation management
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation

6. Data and privacy

We process guest data on your behalf as a Data Processor under UK GDPR. You remain the Data Controller for your guests’ data. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement for full details.

You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and share guest data with us.

7. Cancellation and data on exit

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • On cancellation, you may export all your data (bookings, guest records, settings) in machine-readable format for 90 days.
  • After 90 days, your account data will be deleted per our retention policy.

8. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.

We are not liable for any loss of bookings, revenue, or data arising from platform downtime or third-party service failures.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
